May - June 2017
We had about 20 people come out and clean the Church for Pascha which made the job easier for the usual regular volunteers. Thank you very much.
Our order of the red and burgundy priest vestments and vessel covers arrived from Ukraine in time for Easter and are very elegant and beautiful.
This a busy time of year and we would like you to note these dates for your information. The Sisterhood will be assembling "Verba" bouquets on Saturday, April 1st, at 10:30am in the Parish Hall.
We are preparing for Lent. After our Blini luncheon, we will be serving meatless dishes and our Borscht is always vegetarian. Come and enjoy our meals after Liturgy on Sundays.
Thank you to all who came out and helped clean the Church for Nativity.
One request concerning the candle stands. When putting candles into the holders, please don't melt the bottoms before inserting them.
At our December 4th Meeting it was approved to make our annual donations to the three seminaries in Pennsylvania, New York, and Alaska.
This past month we were surprised to find out our new garbage disposal was not working and the new aerator on the kitchen faucet broken off.
The new refrigerator and freezer were finally delivered and installed. It is beautiful and we are very pleased with it. It arrived in time for us to prepare and store all the food for the delegates of the Diocesan Assembly.
We want to thank and let people know how much we appreciate everyone who is supporting the Sisterhood luncheons. They are the way we augment our treasury.
This past month was very productive. We finally had our new sink and garbage disposal installed in the kitchen and it looks beautiful. We have to thank our Starosta for spending many hours at Church coordinating and overseeing the plumbers, electricians, sink installer and purchasing the needed appliances for the Sisterhood. Hopefully this will solve our problem of having the sewer pipe cleaned so often. Thank you Leo.
Please note, during the month of July, the Sisterhood will not be serving lunch after Liturgy. Many of our ladies who prepare the meals will be out of town for summer vacation. Instead, we will have Pot Luck luncheons.
