People have been asking about LOVES and what we do.  Here is a brief explanation: L.O.V.E.S.  is an acronym for Los Angeles Orthodox Visitors to the Elderly and Sick.  This is what we do:  We visit the elderly and sick at home, hospitals, convalescent homes, etc. when we know who they are and where they are located.

We provide them with icons if none are present. (This has been done mostly in hospitals and convalescent homes).  We have provided assistance to our parishioners as needed and known.  An example would be providing Eddie Aguero with the walker he is currently using.  Some individuals have provided transportation to and from doctors or hospitals.  Meals have been sent to those unable to attend the church.  Support to St. John of Kronstadt home has been provided physically (such as providing and installing a storage shed on the patio) and financially.

If you are interested in joining, the dues are $25 and you can see Josephine or myself.  Further questions can be directed to us as well.

God bless,

Marina Burgmeier, President
