November 2019

Dear brothers and sisters, parishioners and friends of our beloved Cathedral.

First, I would like to greet you with the upcoming Feast of the Entrance of Theotokos into the Temple and Thanksgiving Day that we will be celebrating in November. Here is a short review of the activities in the month of October:

In the beginning of October Fr. Deacon and I participated in the Deanery meeting led by our regional Dean Fr. Lawrence Russell. At this meeting we were able to confer and to share with rest of the clergy of our deanery our achievements and future projects.  In the beginning of October I submitted our semi-annual report to Diocesan office just in time for our annual Diocesan Assembly that took place October 15 -17 in Colorado Springs. At the Assembly, besides the regular business agenda, we were able to read reports of the Diocesan Bishop, the auxiliary Bishop, deans, and also of all other parishes of the Diocese of San Francisco and the West. It was very relieving for me to see that all of us in North America are striving to build Lord’s Church and are dealing with the same or similar challenges of this world, and even though sometimes it is very difficult we can celebrate our small spiritual victories.  Glory to God for this!  If you interested in reading documents from the Assembly, they are available at https://www.dowoca.org/2019assembly
